This calculator answers two questions: what a single discount leaves you paying, and what happens when discounts stack on top of each other. In single mode, enter the original price and one discount percentage to see the amount saved and the final price. In stacked mode, add several discounts and each is applied to the running price in turn — so two 10% discounts are not the same as one 20% discount. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
Common questions
How is a single discount calculated?
The savings are the original price multiplied by the discount percentage, and the final price is the original minus the savings. For example, 25% off $80 saves $20 and leaves $60.
How do stacked discounts work?
Each discount is applied to the price left after the previous one, not to the original. Two 10% discounts on $100 give $90, then $81 — a combined 19% off, not 20%.
How do I enter stacked discounts?
Switch to stacked mode and type the percentages separated by commas, such as “10, 10, 5”. The tool applies them left to right and shows the final price and total savings.
Why is the combined discount less than the sum of the percentages?
Because each later discount applies to an already-reduced price. Percentages of a smaller number are smaller, so stacked discounts always total less than adding the percentages.
Are my prices sent anywhere?
No. The math runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored on a server — the calculation is fully client-side and private.
